Join the Otters

How to join the Otters Family:

1) Navigate around our website and find the descriptions of our different swim levels, and the swim times that we offer, to be sure our a program is what you're looking for!

2) Email the registrars at penderottersregistrar@gmail.com, the subject line should say state that you're looking to register you swimmer. Be sure to include other pertinent such as:

• Your swimmer(s)'s age(s)

• A short description of their swimming ability. i.e. Can they put their face in? Swim on their own? How far on their own? Do they know any strokes already?

• Whether your family lives on Pender, Mayne, or another one of the southern gulf islands (Not mandatory to participate in our team, but we try to prioritize gulf island families for registration).

• Whether your family has been involved with the Otters before.

3) The registrars will try to get you into one of our groups that is the best fit for your swimmers, at a time that works best for you. However, our groups fill up fast at the start of each session so we cannot guarantee we'll have room for you if you first contact us in the middle of one of our lesson cycles.

4) If we can offer you a spot, we will send you a link that you can follow to register your swimmer. If we don't have a spot available for you, we can add you to our email list, and you'll be notified when our next registration cycle begins.

5) When you successfully register, your swimmer comes to their first swim practice with a swimsuit and goggles ready to swim!
