Coaches

Hi Otters! My name is Clara Dickinson and I am excited to be your Head Coach! I am finishing my degree at University of Victoria in Geography and Environmental Studies. I have been swimming competitively since I was 12 years old and I have really developed a love for it. Over my years of swimming and coaching I have really enjoyed watching swimmers grow, improve and learn. I am excited to meet you all and coach for the Pender Island Otters! 

Deirdre helped coach our Otter Pups spring and summer of 2023, and has returned to coach the Otter Pups through Fall and Winter 2023/24. Deirdre is also a school teacher working in the Gulf Island School system, an artist, teaches dance, and now also uses her skills in teaching water safety and strokes for the Otters.
